Perfectly Imperfect
(Free verse)
We often take the small, simple, imperfect joys
in life for granted. The smell of dirt and fresh
air on a wilderness trail. The crunch of fresh
green kale from the brightest most popular stand
at the farmers market. The way cultivar blooms
freely in the wild. Just simply the look of weathering
copper. Life is all about finding the beauty in imperfectly
beautiful moments.

  1. So true! I like the line about the most popular stand at the farmers market...Thanks, Taylor!

  2. This is so true! We do not always realize how short life really is and especially how short life can be. Loved this!

  3. Hey, Taylor! The scattered elements in this poem made it feel very innocent and enjoyable. Great job setting a mood.
