At Least You Have Time

I don’t know why the sun never shines on those who need it most.

I don’t know why when it rains it pours.

I don’t know why loved ones are taken from us too soon.

I don’t know why the ones we love most choose to break our hearts.

I don’t know why sometimes pain settles in the cracks of your heart and take permanent residence there.

But I do know that in the darkest of times the sun will rise.

I do know that the storm will end.

I do know that everything happens for a reason.

I do know that heartache brings other relationships closer together.

I do know that the most painful nights bring the brightest days and the pain in your heart will subside.

When you have nothing else at least you have time.
